“Will huge recruitments currently happening in banks continue next year ”.
Now, with the government informing about 85000 bank jobs in the next 3 years, your doubts should have been answered now.
Common Test: Another notable announcement from the government is its decision to conduct common written exam (CWE) for vacancies in public banks through Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).If introduced, candidates will not have to prepare & appear for exams notified by each bank separately.
Currently, all public sector banks are currently utilizing the services of IBPS for organizing & conducting their recruitment tests.
About the CWE,
- The tests would be held twice a year for the posts of clerk & PO only
- Scorecards shall be given, similar to GATE, CAT exams.
- Based on the score, you have to apply for Interview in recruiting banks
- The scorecard will be valid for 1 year, after which the exam has to be taken again.
Most importantly, the time taken in selection & appointment would come down drastically benefitting the banks & applicants.
